About Bunbury's
Formed in 1987 by the one and only David English MBE, the Bunbury Cricket Club has raised £10 million for charity. The Bunbury's are a maverick team which fields a host of stars from the worlds of sport and show business. The Bunbury's are relentless in their quest to raise much needed funds for the disadvantaged whilst showcasing the talents of their famous players in order to provide fun and entertainment for all the family.

David English's charm and charisma have made him countless friends all over the world. His varied career in music production and cricket has taken him from writing songs with the BeeGees to teaching Robert Redford cricket on the set of A Bridge Too Far. He is cricket's most famous charity fundraiser through his Bunbury celebrity teams, and he counts among his nearest and dearest Eric Clapton, Ian Botham, Viv Richards and many more.
David says, "2007 was the Bunbury's 21st Anniversary. During that time we have raised over £10 million for deserving causes. I cannot think of a more worthwhile charity than Teenage Cancer Trust. We are delighted to be returning to Carlton on June 29th to do battle with the excellent Richard Shaw and Harry Judd's Flyers TCT XI."
"Part of the day's proceeds will be going to the English Schools Cricket Association. As Vice President of ESCA, I have staged the Bunbury's Schools Cricket Festival, also for 21 years. During that time we have discovered 41 Bunbury Boys who have gone on to play for England and 171 into first class cricket. Special thanks must go to Helen Bearfield-Smith and her fantastic team at TCT and to the Carlton Committee."
