Patrons: Sarah, Duchess of York, Darren and Clare Strowger

Darren Strowger, Chairman of Cambridge based Telecommunications Company Excell, and TCT Patron, commented:

"Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) is a pioneering charity close to all of our hearts; and Excell is once again delighted to sponsor this fabulous event."

"A family atmosphere, mouth-watering food, foot-tapping music and a bit of quality cricket thrown in for good measure all play a part in this unique Bunbury's Celebrity Cricket Match. It is also an added privilege to welcome the well-respected players and celebrities of the teams as well as the supporters on the day."

"As a local company we are exceptionally proud to support a charity with ties to Addenbrooke's and also touches the whole nation. We are keen to actively participate in raising awareness for TCT via our marketing to our partners and clients wherever possible."

Excell has provided the communications infrastructure for TCT sites in London, Manchester and Leeds. The next phase will see Excell installing an Avaya IP Office telephony system in their new units, complete with voicemail and enables TCT to streamline their company communications and save money on calls and line rental.

Excell's Hosted telephony solution enables patients to talk to each other in different units about their experiences and can share advice on how to cope with certain situations - all at no cost. Excell plan to link further sites not only by phone but to enable patients from different units to play video games against each other and videoconference other patients as well as families at home.

Mark Noble from Coutts Cambridge office said:

"We have enormous respect for the work the Teenage Cancer Trust does every single day in improving the lives of teenagers and young adults with cancer. With a 300 year history of working with family businesses, family is at the very heart of the Coutts brand which is why we're particularly delighted to be lending our support to this very special fund raising event."
