THE TEAMS

The match is played against the Bunbury's who are a fund-raising celebrity team organised by Dr David English CBE, MBE. The Home team has been captained by Harry Judd the drummer of the band McFly and winner of Strictly Come Dancing for the past 6 years and between both teams we have had a notable number of celebrities and cricketers over the years, including; Roger Daltrey, Phil Tuffnell, Bill Wyman, Fraser Hines, Martin Johnson, Devon Malcolm, Chris Silverwood, Barry Fry, Rudolph Walker, Jeff Thomson, Darren Cousins, Mark Foster, Andy Clarke, Perry Groves, Michael Cowdrey, Graham Cowdrey, Mick Harford, Paul Craven, Rob Shillaker, Matt Thomson, Dougie Brown, Lloyd Honeyghan, Robin Ford, etc.

This year David English is hoping to bring players from the following, subject to them being available; Jeff Thomson, Darren Gough, Fraser Hines, Barry Fry, Rudolph Walker, Mark Foster, Bill Wyman ,Devon Malcom, Lloyd Honeyghan, Perry Groves, Joe Kinnear, Mick Harford, Stephen Crooke, Tim Murtagh,Colin and Graham Cowdrey. It is difficult to name anyone as being a definite as they don't get a fee for coming. The Home team will also have local players and players from Comberton Village College including the Executive Principal, Stephen Munday. If we can drum up some more celebrities we will!
